The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) comprises a high-level international panel of independent experts from different areas of knowledge that will provide advice on selecting the actions that are described in the SRIA on which the Internal Programmes and the External Research Calls will be based, in updating the SRIA, and in discussing the progress and effect of the partnership.

The Scientific Advisory Board is composed of Members from third party Research Performing Organisations established in the European Union and Members from non-EU Research Performing Organisations, all appointed by the Executive Board after absence of conflict of interest is checked by the Ethics Advisory Board and after approval by the Governing Board. The composition of the SAB may change during the Partnership, but all scientists should jointly cover the domains of animal health & welfare, terrestrial animals and aquaculture, including wildlife and minority species as detailed in the SRIA.
