The first EUP AH&W Summer School has been announced
Applications are open for early career researchers & PhD students to join the first EUP AH&W Summer School:
Connect with experts & peers while exploring key topics covered, including vaccines, diagnostics, AI technologies, surveillance of animal pathogens, antibiotic stewardship, biosecurity methods, relationships between animal welfare and disease resistance, and current challenges. It will be a week of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Themes and topics:
- Use of AI technologies
- Antibiotic stewardship
- Surveillance of animal pathogens and antimicrobial resistance
- Biosecurity measures for controlling infectious diseases and AMR on farms
- The role of ethology in the assessment of animal health and welfare
- Advantages and disadvantages of using Animal Based Measures (ABMs) to assess animal welfare
